Raspberries are coming in thick and fast, so I have added some to the rumtopf – 240g plus half that weight in sugar.
These are mostly not the main crop of raspberries, but the ones that have taken over a lot of the flower garden – we are happy with this, a pretty red crop of raspberries fits in well in the cottage garden.
This is the back of our house. The patio serves as a plant nursery – mostly empty now after all that planting, but we have some things like blueberries in pots. The raspberries are there lurking behind the umbrella, happily taking over that bed.
Not sure why there are raspberries there.. we didn’t put them in, but picked a pound of fruit from there this morning. Not complaining
Beautiful bounty! What a lovely garden! What’s all the white flowering there around the doors?
thanks – its a very neglected flower garden though – anything that cant survive by itself is long gone:)
the white flower is called the lovely name of ‘fleabane’ – it spreads nicely, and grows up the walls etc
Ah, sounds like a handy plant: does it banish fleas too then…?
I have pretty much the same approach to plants a you – if they can’t tolerate my benign neglect, there’s no point having them.
