With the demise of our old greenhouse in the winter storms, we ummed and arred for a bit about whether to replace it, because a new one would cost more than we could hope to recover in the price of tomatoes. Last time we rebuilt a second hand greenhouse, but it was very hard work, and bits were missing and had to be bought. and it wasn’t that strong. We considered a small poly tunnel, but we are in a national park, and have planning permission for a green house, that size. We wanted one…
we bought one, spent a couple of days putting it together (yay for bank holiday weekends).
The other lean to greenhouse is stuffed to overflowering with plants, and I am about to start sowing the beans and sweetcorn, so the new one has arrived and been put up just in the nick of time.
The first tomato will be really really expensive, but after that the rest will be free….
And the new greenhouse is lovely and shiny, and yes new shiny thing does make it all better.
