Hallowe’en. We always enjoy it. We have ghoulish food – roasted pumpkin seeds, dead man’s fingers (sausages) mould (blue mash) and kale (scary enough!) followed by pumpkin pie.
We decorate the hall and windows and the kids seem to enjoy it too.
And beneath the fun there is a serious celebration too, it is a sort of year end, a new beginning, and this year timed with the clocks changing and the sudden wintery weather it seems apt.
