Our three rhubarb plants are doing well finally, and we have already had a few harvests, but I also found a bit of a stash in the freezer needing using up. So thought I would have a go at rhubena – rhubarb cordial.
It’s lovely.. tastes of.. yes.. rhubarb, but not in a strip your face off way, and it froths gently, particularly mixed with fizzy water.
We drink a lot of cordials in this house, himself not being a drinker of alcohol, so great to have found another one. Course, it can be topped with fizzy wine for those of us that do partake..
I think we might have to put in more rhubarb crowns now…
