Quite a good productive day. New neighbours have had some of their towering trees cut down and offered us the wood – at least a winter’s worth I’d say – yay – course it needs cutting up and stacking and home finding for it to season… meantime we are just trying to get it over the hedge to our side – that’s enough work!
We gave the sheep a pedicure (hooficure?) and a once over, and moved them on to fresh grazing.
We picked more elderflowers.. we have been making a batch of champagne and a batch of cordial every day for the last five days
And we decided to investigate the spuds, and had the first with our barbecue for tea. The first spuds taste the best. and of course.. elderflower fritters to follow. Yum.
