yes, home made bubble and squeak, with rashers of streaky bacon (locally produced), poached eggs (our own ) and home made baked beans , made with home grown borlotti beans. Can’t beat it.
baked borlotti beans
borlotti beans (about a mug full, either green or dried. if dried, soaked over night)
1 tin of tomatoes (or homemade equivalent)
3 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 onion, diced
1 tbsp soft dark brown sugar
1 tsp all spice
worcester sauce, few good shakes
soy sauce, a dash
Cook the beans in salted water. They take ages.. perhaps an hour? Then drain and combine with other ingredients and bake in a slow oven for a couple of hours. Taste and season.
