We have pulled the last of the leeks there (still have more in the garden), picked the last of the PSB, and harvested some bonus spring cabbages that were the result of leaving the cabbages that didn’t come to anything in the ground.
Next we cleared up all evidence of the cherry laurel we took out of the hedge when hedging – as I think it is poisonous – not sure but not prepared to take the risk – if it is, the sheep would be sure to eat it.
Then finally, we let the sheep into the veg patch – to their delight – as the weeds and grass edges are lush and green.
They wont do the weeding for us, but they will crop it short and make it much lighter work.
