I think the collective name for ducks is a flock.. which is dull, I reckon it should be a coward of ducks. Or perhaps a panic of ducks? They are so chicken and wouldn’t say boo to a goose. Sorry… But they are the most scared of the poultry world.
We moved them from their pen on the lawn to the new duck run (phase 2). We have yet to set the boat into the ground – but they have a lovely apple shaped paddling pool, and a new duck house.
Which many many moons ago used to be my son’s play house. Many a happy play date was acted out in there… and then it became a den, and then a science lab where he raised a few thousand caterpillars into cabbage white butterflies, and then he outgrew it and we left it behind at the old house. It fell into terrible shape, and we were asked if we wanted it before it went on the bonfire. So we halved it, revamped it and now it is the duck house.
We plan to move the muscovy ducks in tomorrow, well two of them since Chloe is now sitting. Not sure how that will go.
