Been so hot this week. We have had to spend an hour each evening watering all the plants already planted, or in pots and trays.
We have barbecued these last two evenings, and like summer, I have found midday too hot, and done most of my outdoor work in evening. All windows open, all laundry has been washed. We are making the most of it from a social point of view.. from a gardening view, it is worrying.
Wrong. not only is is April.. but a bank holiday weekend.. Still, a neighbour came round and informed me we shall ‘pay for it later’. Probably. We always do.
