Typical April day – sunny and warm and heavy rain and thunderstorms. Finally blue skies (maybe a frost tonight? – forecast says not….), and very pretty clouds.
At dusk I went to put the hens away, and was hit with a heavy scent. Mostly hawthorn, also known as Mayflower, due it it flowering in May, and also the lily of the valley is just coming out too – typically out on Mayday.
Climate change? plants confused by the recent hot weather? Dunno.. but the scent is heavenly.
