I finished making a bag using wool from my stash, and the little packet of threads my friend in New Zealand sent over for Christmas. I left out the very garish green thread, but used the others, in a block style for the front flap of the bag – knitting one plain, one textured stitching and one with the coloured thread. Under the flap the bag is plain, and the back of the bag has stripes of the coloured threads. A simple I-cord to finish it off. Ravelry link
Haven’t decided whether to line it or not – depends what I think it will be used for.
Well that was a bit of fun, especially as I didn’t really know what I was making, just went along with it, and developed it as it appeared!
Now to add a new knitting project, and I am going to add the ‘Al Pacino’ scarf. I bought a packet of different coloured alpaca roving from sallypointer.com for himself for as a Christmas present, and he spun it up (shedding fibres everywhere), going from colour to colour, and has requested a scarf. He will keep referring to alpaca as ‘Al Fresco’, ‘Al Capone’, and ‘Al Pacino’….
