yay! – we are getting one or two eggs a day now, and given that the two copper headed marans have always been useless, maybe our egg crisis is over.

I just found a clutch of 3 eggs laid by our star layer (Mrs Crossbeak) in the flower bed!

hmm yeh – we decided we just need more hens. would be nice if some of our chicks turned out to be girls…

We had one egg yesterday – but none today. Hopefully we’ll get more soon – especially as we bought 2 new hens at the market yesterday.
