Terrible weather.. stormy and rainy. Poor plants are taking a battering.
On the plus side, friends have organised a crafting weekend, a great idea – we all come together and do our various hobbies. We have been spinning, knitting and peg looming. And I finished the jumper for my son.
Finally! I finished a project before he grew out of it (the last two were defeated by his sudden growth spurts). I think this is mainly due to the fact he is nearly adult size anyway, mixed with the fact I knitted it every day, whilst watching home ed programs first thing in the morning. (I think the top three stripes cover the period of history from Henry VIII to Elizabeth I !)
He’s pleased with it, I’m pleased with it.
Now to add a new project to the list, and it has to be ‘knit a jumper out of the black homespun wool’
The jumper is fantastic – I’ve not got passed a scarf for a small boys bear …. but I do hope to do more knitting this winter.
