why is it that you don’t tend to visit interesting local places, unless you have visitors. Went to Slapton sands today, walked along the ley for a bit… really hot sunny day, tad too hot, blue skies and blue water. Lovely.
Because we were waiting for them to arrive, we did not embark on any major projects, but gently pottered about, I planted some lettuce plants in the greenhouse border, himself mowed the grass with the push mower.. then we picked lots more elderflowers and started a batch of cordial and another of elderflower champagne.
We really need to learn how to take it easy and take time off a bit more…. but then there is so much to be done..
Tonight saw a hedgehog again in the garden – despite our local badger population that are also seen at night (badger eat hedgehogs, amongst other things), which can only be good for keeping the slugs at bay.
I didn’t know that badgers eat hedgehogs. They must have concrete stomaches to deal with those spikes!
You certainly learn something new every day
