eggs
23 March 2008 by colouritgreen
Today we did eggs - we had boiled eggs and soldiers for breakfast, did a little Easter egg hunt, then we did the one organised for us by our son, we had some chocolate (thanks Mum and Dad!) and for tea himself made a lovely bread and butter pudding (recipe courtesy of Delia.. before she sold out)
Himself finished the fencing - yay!, and I sowed seeds again - mange tout peas, sugar beet (himself comes from the sugar beet end of the country and wants to have a go.. just to see how they grow etc) another row of parsnips and radishes and some red onions. I am useless at growing salad onions… but not ready to give up yet!
and tip of the week, when the wind blows from the North and it’s cold:
There is something wonderful about collecting a freshly laid egg, and keeping your hand on it, snug in your pocket, whilst going about checking the other livestock etc.. a personal hand warmer..
