sunny education

After our trip to the library, we went for a walk by the river, and a picnic lunch. Really beautiful at the moment, and this time of year brings a clarity to the light.
We came across a tree on the bank that we did not recognise, with balls of seeds decorating it. Later, consulting our Collins Complete British Trees, decided it was probably an oriental plane tree, typical of parks, and river banks. We don’t have any of these lurking in the hedges, so no wonder it was new to us. Pleasant educational days.
