here is a serendipitous happening:
I know someone with a workplace that has to pay to get rid of old wood – broken pallets and more recently a decrepit site caravan. and I am someone who has made it known they will accept any wood that would otherwise be destined to the land fill site.
Phone call today – are we in a position to take some more wood? yes please! and so came two lorry loads of wood! – oh my.. we had to unload the lorries by hand, in the wet and wind, cos they can’t get into our yard, and we will have to cut it down to size, and stash it somewhere as its all very wet.
Now have 6 wood mountains – all destined for the wood-burner. Plenty of heat in that wood.
